Well, it’s been nearly a week since I’ve moved down to Philadelphia for the semester (new school, new year, new city–suuuuper exciting) and things are beginning to settle down a bit. I’m loving Philadelphia so far, and have gone to City Center several times already this week to explore (I discovered a hammock park! Basically heaven on Earth.) and also catch up on some work. Turns out I live near not one, but two Barnes and Noble, which is absolutely fantastic.
So. Writing.
I’ve “finished” second round revisions of Of Silver and Stars about a week ago. I’m letting the manuscript sit a little before going back through with pencil edits with the printed MS (fun fact: I printed out OSAS for the first time ever two weeks ago. Seeing it in print, even if it was only on copy paper, was a pretty cool feeling).
For Warpers, I’m just finalizing some more edits (I’m horribly nit-picky like that–I can never seem to stop editing, even when the novel’s supposedly “done”–because let’s face it, a novel will never, ever be truly “done”) and then . . . releasing my YA sci-fi darling into the jungles of querying. O.o
In the mean time, I’ll be busy checking out what the city of brotherly love has to offer. All I can say thus far, it’s a city filled with inspiration, and I can’t wait to fall in love with it (which I think I already have a little).
What do you prefer? City, suburbs, or rural living?
